Manolis Kotzabasakis, Chairman of the Board

Manolis Kotzabasakis serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Viewpoint, joining in August 2015. Kotzabasakis comes to Viewpoint from AspenTech, the world leader in software that optimises complex production processes for the oil & gas, chemical and construction industries. During his 18 years with AspenTech, Kotzabasakis held several executive positions including Marketing & Strategy, Worldwide Sales Operations and most recently served as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President, Research & Development, where he led the creation of AspenTech's technical/scientific vision and strategy on a global basis.

Kotzabasakis manages and drives Viewpoint’s world-wide operations to best meet the growing and progressive technology needs of the construction and capital projects industries.

Kotzabasakis holds PhD and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, and a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He was an associate professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in the United Kingdom from 1987 to 1992.

Darren Abrahamson, Director

Mr. Abrahamson is a Principal at Bain Capital, which he joined in 2005. He is a member of the firm’s global TMT practice, and has been involved in the firm’s investments in Viewpoint Construction Software, BMC Software, SkillSoft, Applied Systems, SunGard and Sensata Technologies, among others. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Abrahamson was a consultant at Monitor Group where he consulted in the technology, pharmaceutical, and energy industries. Mr. Abrahamson received a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. Mr. Abrahamson graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

David Humphrey, Director

Mr. Humphrey joined Bain Capital in 2001. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Humphrey was an investment banker in Lehman Brothers’ mergers & acquisitions group. Mr. Humphrey received an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar and a Henry Ford II Scholar. He graduated cum laude with an AB in economics from Harvard College.

Mark Fusco, Director

Mark E. Fusco currently serves on several technology-focused company boards, including Black Duck Software and Dyn. Mark's leadership and expertise in helping drive operational performance, product innovation and market leadership provides an incredible asset to those organisations in which he contributes.

Previously, Mark served for eight years as the President and CEO of AspenTech and prior to that was President and COO of Ajilon Consulting USA, a $400 million IT consulting firm with 40 offices and over 4,000 employees. Mark joined the Ajilon Consulting executive team in 1999 with the acquisition of Software Quality Partners (SQP), an IT consulting firm specialising in software quality assurance and testing, which he co-founded in 1990 and led as President until its sale.

Before entering the business world, Mark played in the National Hockey League and on the U.S. Olympics hockey team. He was a member of the 1984 U.S. Olympics ice hockey team which competed in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. In 1983 he received the Hobey Baker college hockey player of the year award while at Harvard College. He is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School.

Ian Loring, Director

Ian Loring is a Managing Director at Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm with more than $75 billion in assets under management.

Since joining the firm in 1996, Mr. Loring has played a leading role in prominent media, technology and telecommunications investments such as Warner Music Group, ProSiebensat.1.Media , Advertising Directory Solutions, Eschelon Telecom, Therma-Wave, NXP Technologies, Clear Channel Communications, The Weather Channel, Cumulus Media Partners, Contec and Denon & Marantz.

Currently, Mr. Loring sits on the Board of Directors of Clear Channel, Weather Channel, Denon & Marantz, NXP Technologies, BMC, and Viewpoint. He also volunteers for a variety of non-profit organizations, serving as a member of The Fessenden School Board of Trustees and the Linda Loring Nature Foundation (Nantucket, MA) Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Loring was a Vice President of Berkshire Partners, with experience in its specialty manufacturing, technology and retail industries. Previously, Mr. Loring worked in the Corporate Finance department at Drexel Burnham Lambert. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Trinity College.
